Looking for Bank Holiday plans? We’ve got you covered… Helifest is back!
On Monday 31 August we’re bringing together music, food, local stalls and everything else you need for a fantastic fun day out.
So grab your family and friends and don’t forget the sun cream (and maybe an umbrella) and head on down to our HQ at Eaglescliffe.
For just £1 entry per person, you can enjoy a full day of fun while helping keep our critical care team responding to emergencies across the North.

First stop… the Emergency Services Zone
Ever wondered what it’s like inside an emergency response vehicle?
Make your way to the Emergency Services Zone, where children (and grown-ups) can get up close to emergency service vehicles and meet some of the amazing people who help keep our communities safe.
It’s the perfect opportunity to ask questions, explore the vehicles and discover more about the vital work these teams do every day.
Meet the star of the show
You can’t come to Helifest without seeing the helicopter.
Head over to our headquarters for the chance to see our iconic aircraft up close, learn about the specialist equipment carried on board and meet some of the incredible crew who help save lives.
Oh, and while you’re there, pop into our coffee house Hangar 63 for refreshments before heading back out to explore.
Please note: Places are limited for helicopter tours and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Birds of prey… with a front-row seat
The brilliant Gosling Raptors will once again be joining us, giving visitors the chance to see some truly magnificent birds of prey up close throughout the day.
These birds are super friendly, and you can even stroke and hold them, so be ready with your camera to take some photos.
Bounce, climb and challenge yourself
Let the kids (and adults) burn off some energy with our fantastic range of giant inflatables, including bouncy castles, fun runs and inflatable impossible ladders.
Feeling adventurous? Have a go on the climbing wall or test your aim with soft archery before trying your luck at some of our charity games.

A little bit of retail therapy
Take a wander through Stall Central, where you’ll find a brilliant collection of local independent businesses selling everything from handmade gifts and jewellery to crafts, personalised items and delicious sweet treats.
Food that everyone will love
No family day out is complete without fantastic food.
Whether you’re craving a juicy burger, freshly made pizza, sizzling sausages or flavoursome Arabian street food, the Food Plaza has something for everyone.
You can also grab a freshly brewed coffee for a caffeine boost, and those fancying a sweet treat can enjoy a delicious ice cream before heading back to enjoy the entertainment.

The soundtrack to your summer
The Stage Area will be keeping the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day with live performances from singers Samantha Durnan and Lottie Smith, and music from DJ Alistair Reay.
See you there?
Helifest is on Monday 31 August 2026 11am-4pm at Progress House, Urlay Nook Road, TS16 0QB. Entry is just £1 per person and helps support our life-saving mission.
